How to get things done in Bkwrm.

Move around the canvas

Drag empty space to pan. Scroll or pinch to zoom. The controls in the corner zoom in and out, fit the whole map in view, and lock the canvas; the minimap shows where you are on a large map.

Create and connect concepts

  1. Double-click empty canvas to create a concept where you clicked.
  2. Name it — short phrases work better than sentences.
  3. To connect two concepts, open one and choose Add a connection, then pick the other concept.
  4. Give the connection a label that says how the two relate — "causes", "limits", "is an example of". Connections have a direction; pick it deliberately.

A concept with no connections fades slightly, and an unlabelled connection stays thin and dashed — the map shows you where the structure is incomplete without interrupting you. The small Improve control on the canvas offers one or two plain observations about the current map whenever you want them.

Edit a concept

Click a concept to open its panel. From there you can add a definition and notes, attach an image, add connections, or delete the concept. A concept that links to several others is marked as key automatically — the map treats your best-connected ideas as landmarks in sessions.

Start a session

  1. Open the study panel on the canvas.
  2. Choose Generative Learning. It unlocks once your map has 5 concepts and 4 connections — enough structure to work with.
  3. Answer from memory. Activities range from recalling a concept to explaining a connection, comparing two ideas, predicting an outcome, or teaching a concept aloud.

Your answers update the map: concepts that held are recorded, and gaps are marked so you can see exactly where to go next. Feedback is specific or it is not given.

Review your cards

Cards are made only from what a session showed you had missed — a short stack that means something, never a full deck. Rate each card as you review:

Forgot
Comes back tomorrow.
Learning
Comes back a little later each time.
Got it
Pushed further out — up to 60 days.

Resolving a card also updates the matching concept on your map.

Documents and videos

From the study panel, open Widgets to put a PDF or Word document on the canvas, or paste a YouTube link to watch a lecture beside your map. Panels can be moved, resized, collapsed to a tab on the canvas edge, or removed when you are done. Documents are read-only reference — your thinking goes on the map.

Share a map

  1. Open Share this map on the canvas.
  2. Switch on the public link and copy it.

Anyone with the link sees a read-only view of your map. Signed-in viewers can duplicate it as a fresh map of their own — structure only, none of your session history. Switch the link off at any time to stop sharing.

Lime mark
Strong — your latest answers on this concept all held.
Thick olive connection
Reinforced — you have demonstrated this relationship repeatedly. Lines thicken as understanding accumulates.
